Creamy Melon Smoothie

April 22nd, 2021 | 1 minute to read

Having smoothie every morning after workout is one of my favorite things. Sometimes I want to have smoothie that’s 100% pure, without adding any water. This works well with fruits that contain more water, such as melon, pear, orange, dragon fruit etc. If you have a powerful blender that also helps.

The trick is to place the watery fruits in the bottom, and the chunky and harder one on the top. So the watery fruits get blended a bit into juice, then the whole process will become easier.

If cutting fruits takes some time in the morning, you can also prepare everything in the evening. The color might change a little but taste equally good.

Creamy Melon Smoothie

Kitchen Gadgets: Blender

Makes 500ml

Ingredients

  • ¼ melon
  • 1 nectarine
  • 1 apple

Instructions

  1. Peel the melon and cut ¼ of it into chunks (you can refrigerate the rest in a box for the next day), throw them into the blender cup.
  2. Peel the nectar, cut into chunks.
  3. Wash the apple, don’t peel but cut into chunks. Depends on your taste, you can remove the core part or not.
  4. Blend everything together. First blend on low speed for a few seconds, then shake the blender a bit up and down to mix the juices so your blades aren’t stuck with fruit chunks. When it starts blending smoothly, switch gradually to the highest speed and blend for a few more seconds until they’re smooth, switch gradually to the lowest speed and stop. If your smoothie gets slightly warm from the blending, chill them a bit in the fridge. Usually I can’t wait!
